Simple and Moist Marble Cake Recipe – Video

Marble cake is kind of cake you make when you’re not quite sure whether today you want to make vanilla cake or chocolate cake.

So why not making to combine all the flavors together? This cake is buttery and wonderfully rich with a moist and tender crumb. The making of this marble cake may seem so complicated, but it’s actually so simple, it’s one batter that is divided and then adding the melted chocolate to one portion. The effect of marbling is created by placing the chocolate and vanilla cake batters alternately in a bundt pan, and then running a knife or toothpick (but do not stir it) through the two batters to give that marble effect. While enjoying this cake plainly, you can also add some topping on the top of the cake such as melted chocolate, vanilla cream, whipped cream or you may want to dust the top of the cake using powdered sugar.

This cake usually baked in a bundt pan, so make sure before you pouring the batter into the bundt pans, grease and line the bottom of the pan using butter or you can spray them with non-stick cooking spray just to make sure that your cake is not sticking on the bottom of the cake and make it hard to release. And there’s also important tips, we suggest you to reduce the heat temperature on your oven to 325 degrees F, if you’re using a dark colored pan. It is because the dark colored pans absorb a lot more energy which coming from the oven wall and that’s what make the pan will becomes hotter because they transport the heat faster than when you’re using a bright colored pans.

As I said above we’re first going to make white butter and the chocolate batter, but here I’m not going to use melted chocolate to add with my batter, instead I will use cacao powder to make the chocolate batter. But if you prefer to the melted chocolate feel free to do that. Once you’ve done making the chocolate batter, then go on just drop it all over the top on vanilla batter. Then grab a knife, then swirl all the butter together (remember just don’t stir the batter, cause you don’t want to mix everything together). And bake it to the oven for about 1 hour 15 minutes or until your cake is cooked well. Once the cake is cooled, remove from the oven and let your cake cool then remove it from the pans.

Ingredients of How to Make Simple and Moist Marble Cake:

  • 2 1/2 cups of plain flour
  • 1/4 cup of Vegetable Oil
  • 4 of large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 2 cups of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Cacao Powder
  • 3/4 cup of Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Salt

Instructions of How to Make Simple and Moist Marble Cake:

  1. First, you can start the step by preheating your oven to 325 degrees. Then grab your 10″ bundt pan and spray it with non stick cooking spray and set aside. Or iyou find hard to get a cooking spray, you can also just grease or line the bottom and sides the pan using butter.
  2. Next, in a small bowl, mix together the dry ingredients such as flour, vanilla extract, baking powder and salt. Mine using pandegliangeli and Italian vanilla powder. But if you don’t have these ingredients, vanilla extract and baking powder as I have those ingredients, baking powder and vanilla extract are good too. Once you’ve done mixed the ingredients just set aside.
  3. Get a large bowl and whisk together the butter oil and sugar until they are creamy and smooth, add the eggs and continue to mix them until you have a thick, nice and pale color of the batter you whisked.
  4. Pour the milk to the batter and mix it in quickly, add the flour mixture and mix it all together just until they all incorporated but do not over mix them ‘cause you don’t want that your cake is dry tasting.
  5. Once you have done, pour 2/3 of your batter into the prepared pan and set aside.
  6. Now, we’re going to make the chocolate batter. Add the cacao powder to the reserved 1/3 of the batter and mix it all together until the cacao powder disappears and you have the nice and smooth mixture.
  7. Grab the spoon, and take the chocolate mixture place it all over the top of the cake batter and using your knife, run it all threw to slightly mix batter together but remember do not stir it cause they gonna mix together and you won’t have the good color of your batter if you did.
  8. Next, bake your batter into the oven for about 1 hour 15 minutes or until your cake is cooked well. Once your cake has done, remove t from the oven and place the cake into the wire rack and let it cool. Invert it to the platter as soon as your cake is cooled. You can also add powdered sugar or any other topping on the top of the cake just to make your cake prettier and make it more delicious.
