The simple eggless orange cake recipe which is so fluffy and moist with crunchy orange sugar glaze as the garnish. This recipe doesn't use any egg, but the taste is still very delicious.

Eggless Orange Cake Recipe
  • 1 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Thick Yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Bowder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Orange Zest
Sugar Glaze
  • 3-4 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Orange Juice

Eggless Orange Cake Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven at 356 °F. 

  2. Sieve the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together at least 3-4 times to give better aeration to the dry ingredient. Mix them well. 

  3. Prepare a large mixing bowl. Fold in the yogurt and sugar then mix them well.

  4. Add the vegetable oil and orange juice into the yogurt mixture. After they are mixed well, add the orange zest and mix again.

  5. Fold in the mixture of dry ingredients to the mixture of wet ingredients in two steps. First, add the half of it then mix it well, then add the rest of the dry ingredients and mix it again nicely.

  6. Grease and flour the baking pan, and also put butter paper or parchment paper. Add the cake batter into the pan.

  7. Bake the cake for 35 to 40 minutes. You can check whether the cake has been baked well or not by inserting a toothpick to the middle of the cake and if it comes out clean meaning that the cake has been baked well.

  8. Cool down the cake.

Sugar Glaze Instructions
  1. Put the powdered sugar into a bowl and pour the orange juice little by little, and mix well until you get a quite thick texture. 

  2. Pour the sugar glaze to the top of the cake, and leave it for about 5 to 10 minutes until the sugar glaze is dry and stick on the cake.

  3. Your Eggless Orange Cake is ready!
