To start with, you need to empty your cabinets first. Deep-cleaning your cabinets with the items still inside is actually possible, but will cause a lot of headache. It’s always the best idea to take the items out before you start cleaning.
Your cabinets are one of the spots around your kitchen which collect tons of dust which needs to get cleaned up. You can’t really apply any cleaning solution without dusting your cabinet first. Work your way from top to bottom and don’t skip the interior of the cabinet as well.
Forget the commercial cleaning agent, and let’s have some fun making your very own cleaning solution. You just have to mix some warm water with a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle.
If you have an engineered wood cabinet which comes with water-resistant finish, you can directly spray the cleaning mixture onto the surface. For unfinished wood cabinets, always spray the cleaning mixture to a clean cloth instead.
First, apply the cleaning solution to the inside of the cabinet with a clean cloth. Put more pressure if you notice some built-up grimes. Rinse the cleaning solution with a clan dump cloth and let it air dry by opening the door of the cabinet.
Next, let’s move the the exterior of the cabinets. Commonly, the exterior can get dirtier than the interior, so you should properly clean it. Start cleaning the top of the cabinet then continue downwards.

The cleaning mixture that you apply in the steps above may not really able to handle the grease, so you should treat them differently. Here’s what you can do:
Dip a toothbrush to the cleaning mixture and applied it to the corners of the cabinet. Gently scrub the built-up dirt until you are sure that they are completely removed.
Once the cabinet is completely dry, you can put the items back. You might need to wipe each one of them if you find some stains on the items before returning them to the cabinet.
